About the campaign

The ‘My minute' campaign is an exciting opportunity to create a personal message for the Prime Minister and his Deputy. Members of Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches are inspired by their faith to question the world around them. This campaign is a chance for people of all faiths, and none, to have their views delivered to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister

About the Joint Public Issues Team

The Baptist, Methodist and united Reformed Churches work together through the JPIT for the benefit of church and society. Through engaging with politicians and church members we highlight the causes of inequality and injustice, promoting workable solutions to a fairer world.

Current work

We are currently focussing on the economy, peacemaking and the environment. Recent calls to action has included facilitating worldwide ban on cluster munitions, legislation to ‘clip the wings' of vulture funds in UK courts', delivering a living wage for Methodist employees, campaigning to improve working conditions for the most vulnerable workers in society and creating a plan to cut our carbon emissions by 80% by 2050.
