Freedom Sunday – God’s people working together to end human trafficking
Baptists Together, the Methodist Church, the United Reformed Church and Methodist Women in Britain, working alongside many other churches and organisations have been involved in creating a new resource to raise the issues of human trafficking.
Freedom Sunday is a day of worship, prayer and action on human trafficking. On Sunday 19th October 2014, churches all over the world will join together to raise awareness of the crime of human trafficking and show the world our compassion for men, women and children who are trafficked and exploited.
The Freedom Sunday resource pack contains prayers, sermon outlines and Bible studies for use in church services, as well as an action pack for congregations and individuals.
“Freedom Sunday provides churches with an opportunity to join together with other around the world in a day of worship, prayers and action on human trafficking. Freedom Sunday challenges us and resources us to take action to prevent the crime of human trafficking in our local and global communities.”
The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd Justin Welby
